Yoga lengthens the muscle, creating tension on the bone increasing bone strength without damaging cartilage or stressing the joint like other sports.

Yoga brings more oxygen to the cells, twisting brings fresh oxygenated blood to the organs and inversions reverse blood flow from the lower body to the brain and heart. 

 

Quietens the mind

Yoga can create a cognitive shift to visual right brain thinking and evokes a trance-like meditative state.

Amanda Lithgow is a fully qualified Yoga instructor who trained at the VInyasa Yoga Ashram, regarded as one of the world’s leading yoga institutions, near Rishikesh in India’s Himalayan foothills.
 
As an expert in the Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles, she is able to offer instruction at all levels from new beginner to advanced practitioner.
